The semi-finals at the 18u USA Hockey National Championship on Sunday were BEAST heavy to say the least. The BEAST flexed its muscles as the North Jersey Avalanche, Rochester Coalition and Mount Saint Charles all made the final four. The North Jersey Avalanche will battle fellow BEAST foe Rochester Coalition on Monday May 3 at 10:15am in the 18u USA Hockey National Championship.
Ethan Ulrick scored the game winner at 7:13 of overtime to push the North Jersey Avalanche past #1 seed and perennial powerhouse Shattuck St Mary’s 4-3 in a thrilling back and forth battle.
Rochester Coalition jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held off Mount Saint Charles late to secure a 3-2 victory to secure their spot in the national championship game today. 

Rochester has won the only other meeting this season between the two with a 3-1 victory on September 5, 2020.
