2024 Beast Tournament Series action at the U18 level got underway at the recent River Rats Jamboree. Here is a recap of some key games held during that event:

River Rats 19U 5, Amherst Knights 3

The River Rats prevailed thanks to goals from Aidan Barkley, Alex Small, Colin Walsh, Sean Leetch and Matthew Egan. Danny Collins contributed two assists in the win.

Westchester Express 2, Northeast Generals Academy 1

Twenty-nine saves from Kevin Ahearn and first half goals from Rohan Novelo and Frankie Loscertio were enough for the Express.

Long Island Gulls National 4, Yale Bulldogs National 3

Down 3-1, the Gulls rallied late to post the win. Brendan Defeo netted both the game-tying and winning goals for the Gulls. Joe Argentina scored in the rally. George McCaffrey had an early goal for Long Island.

Northeast Generals Split 4, Westchester Express 2

The Generals doubled up Westchester thanks to goals from Brody Bassett, William Johnston, Zach Weiner and Logan Poulin.

Springfield Thunderbirds National 6, Amherst Knights 6

Logan Martel had the tying goal for Springfield in the final minute of play. Ke Pleau and Jack Pomichter also scored as the Thunderbirds rallied from two goals down. Emmit Porter had two goals and an assist for Amherst.

Boston Hockey Academy National 2, Mid-Fairfield 1

Jayden Evans scored late in the first half, and early in the second to lead the Dukes. Oliver Sperry had 28 saves in the win.

Nor'Easter Storm 3, Long Island Gulls National 1

Jake Novak, Zachary Chenade and Connor Davis each had a goal to power the Storm past The Long Island Gulls.

River Rats Tier 2 National 5, Yale Bulldogs Showcase 0

Aidan McDonald led the River Rats attack with a pair of goals. Griffin Faherty and Nolan O'Sullivan each contributed two assists.

Mid-Fairfield National 4, East Coast Militia 4

Mid-Fairfield rallied in the second half to grab a tie. Luke Dew, Corbin Carkner and Easton Kinsler had second half goals. Tommy Coccaro also scored, while Matt Welch had a goal and two assists for the Militia.

Rat Dogs U19 4, Boston Hockey Academy Prep 1

The Rat Dogs took home the win behind goals from Colin Clokie, Giuseppe Catanzariti, Travis Rugg and Billy Marcari.
