LOOKING BACK AT SOME LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE RECENT JR. BULLDOGS JAMBOREE

As the focus now turns to the Beast Columbus Day Showcase set for this weekend, let's take a look back at some key action for the recent Jr. Bulldogs Jamboree.

18U

* Boston Hockey Academy Prep and the Westchester Express skated to a 2-2 tie. Giovanni Destafanis and Kaine Otterbacher scored for BHA and Frank Loscerbo and Zachary Mackeil each scored for the Express.

* Another tight battle in the U18 Division ended in a tie. CT Chiefs Split (Southern) and Atlantic Coast Academy Showcase battled to a 2-2 tie. Luis Loyal and Blake Cameron scored for Atlantic Coast and Kyle Giannitti and Cam Peltz responded for the Chiefs.

* Seven goals were scored in the second half of a 4-4 tie between the Yale Jr. Bulldogs and the Central Mass Penguins. Cooper Snee, Blake Baksay, Indiana Grossbard and John Broderick each scored for the Bulldogs. The Penguins also had four different goal-scorers in Thomas Bleyl, Miles Mireault, Ryland Randle and Kristopher Richards.

* The Long Island Gulls doubled up East Coast Militia 4-2. The Gulls jumped out to a 3-0 win in the first half on goals by Tanner Terranova, Gavin Michalski and Brendan DeFeo. The Militia got two back in the second half from Malcolm Welch and Ethan Cox, but Eddie Brown sealed the win for the Gulls with a key insurance goal.

* Mid-Fairfield continued its strong play beating the Central Mass Penguins 5-1. Blake Burke (2), Easton Kinsler, Zach Martshing and Corbin Carkner all scored.

* CT Nor’Easter defeated the Yale Jr. Bulldogs 4-1. After falling behind 1-0, the Nor’Easter responded with four unanswered goals. Connor Davis notched a hat trick and Connor Noll also scored.

* Mid-Fairfield earned its second win of the showcase with a 5-3 win over the Yale Jr. Bulldogs. Ryan Hedley led the way with a hat trick. Luke Dow and Easton Kinsler also both scored for Mid-Fairfield.

* Boston Hockey Academy Prep shutout the CT Chiefs Split (Southern) 3-0 in their first game of the Yale Jr. Bulldogs Jamboree. Ethan Kutcher, Gavin Stone and Brody Debruin all scored in the big win.

* The Westchester Express beat the CT Chiefs (Southern) 7-0. Cliff Ramundo and Joe Minnix each notched a pair of goals in the win.

* The Neponset River Rats Tier 2 defeated CT Chiefs Split (Southern) 3-1. Samuel Gordon, Beckett Murphy and Gavin Peters each scored for the River Rats.

* Matt Regan was the star as he scored four goals for the Springfield Thunderbirds in a 6-2 win over Atlantic Coast Academy. Mason Gautreau and Matthew Patko also scored.

* The Vermont Jr. Cats defeated Boston Hockey Academy Prep 8-3 in a big win. Noah Keeler was on fire as he tallied five of the eight goals for the Cats. Oliver Quong, Walter Morris, Desmond Collins also scored for the Cats.

* Mid-Fairfield looked solid in a 3-1 win over CT Nor’Easter. Joseph Salandra scored twice and Joseph Cannon also scored. They improved to 2-0 on the week with a 2-1 win against East Coast Militia. Tied 1-1 heading into the second half, Harry Holland scored the game-winning goal to give Mid-Fairfield the win.

15U

* In a close battle between Boston Hockey Academy Prep and Westchester Express, it was BHA that came out with a 3-2 win. Boyan Zhao and Rui Chen got Boston Hockey Academy off to a 2-0 start in the first half. Jason Amer cut the lead in half for the Express, but Chen scored his second of the game to secure the win.

* The Long Island Gulls blanked the Yale Jr. Bulldogs 2-0 in a U15 battle. Watson Prier and Greyson Smith both scored and Matthew Schreier earned the win in net with 33 saves.

* In another close game, the CT Nor’Easter and the Vermont Jr. Cats ended in a 1-1 tie. Jordan Fish got the scoring started for the Nor’Easter in the first half. The score remained the same into the second when Vincent Lanzetta tied the game.

* The Valley Forge Minutemen snuck by Atlantic Coast Hockey Academy 2-1 in a well-played game. The Minutemen took a 2-0 lead on goals by Liam Jean and Jason Carpenter into the second. Donovan Miller cut that lead in half, but the Minutemen were able to hold on for the win.

* The Long Island Gulls remained hot earning their second straight win of the Jamboree beating East Coast Militia 4-1. The Gulls got goals from Jacoby Palmer, Dylan Sampair, Matthew Stampfel and Gilbert Sudaley in the win.

* The Westchester Express got in the win column with a 5-0 blanking of the Vermont Jr. Cats. The Express got contributions up and down the lineup with five different goal-scorers. Jason Amer, Alexander De Brino, Chase High, Jacob Tuczino and Brayden Hall all lit the lamp.

* The East Coast Militia (Nudge) shutdown the New Jersey Titans 2-0. Ryan Foley and Troy Halvorson each scored for the Militia.

13U

* The New Jersey Rockets got in the win column with a 4-0 blanking of the Yale Jr. Bulldogs. Grant Frazee, Boden Puppe, Advit Agarwal and Peter Iocolano all added a goal for the Rockets
