Entering Saturday's quarterfinal round seeded eighth out of the eight-team field, Mid-Fairfield caught fire and took home the 2024 Beast Tournament Series U18 championship.

MF won the title on Sunday, blanking the Nor'Easter Storm, 2-0, in a well-played championship game.

"I wouldn't say there's just one key. It was really just playing with consistency and conviction throughout the whole game," said Mid-Fairfield coach Chris Gragnano. The guys really stuck together, stuck to the game plan, trusted each other and it showed in their play."

The teams played a scoreless first half. Ryan Hedley, would score the only goal that MF would need, assisted by Noah Jettelson. Easton Kinsler added the dagger later in the second half, and Jack Fichthorn was stone wall in goal.

Mid-Fairfield played three close games in their playoff run, knocking off the top-seed, Long Island Gulls, 2-1, in a quarterfinal matchup, and then bouncing the Jr. Bulldogs in the semifinals."

"I knew we had a very high character team going in. Some of these guys have been with me for a long time, Burke, Jettelson, Morris, Stant and Hidy have been with me for six years," Gragnano said. "Also more than a handful of the guys on this team are going to either be a captain or assistant on their school teams this year so I knew character wouldn't be in short supply for us. Very proud of this group and the way they played this weekend."
