We are proud to announce the formation of the BEAST Tournament Series. The founding members (Mid Fairfield, Neponset Valley River Rats, North Jersey Avalanche, Yale Youth Hockey) will send teams at all 3 levels of competition (U15, U16, U18) Additionally the Boston Jr Eagles will field teams at the U16 and U18 levels and the Rochester Coalition will field a team at the U15 level. The Philadelphia Jr Flyers will be an affiliate member and be included in 2 of the 5 showcases at all 3 levels. Selects Academy at South Kent will also attend to 2 of the 5 events at all age groups.

This group of teams is coming together to provide the best exposure and competition for midget hockey on the east coast. The full time members over the past 5 seasons have combined for 5 USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championship game appearances including 3 USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championships (U18 Neponset Valley River Rats in 2013, U18 Mid Fairfield in 2017, U15 Yale Youth Hockey in 2017) and 2 runners up trophies at USA Hockey Tier 1 Nationals (U18 North Jersey Avalanche in 2015, U14 Boston Jr Eagles in 2016) In 2017 the league was represented at Tier 1 Nationals by 9 teams River Rats (15, 18) Yale (15, 16, 18) Avalanche (15, 16, 18) and Mid Fairfield (18).

Additionally last season alone players from The BEAST tournament series members accounted for 70 NCAA Division 1 commitments.  6 players were selected by USA Hockey to play for National Team Development Program this season.

The teams will play a 10 game schedule, culminating with the 1st BEAST Championship Series at the end of October.  Most games will be played in the following showcases; other non-showcases games will be available on the website schedule:

River Rat Jamboree- Aug 28 & 29 at New England Sports Center

ECC Labor Day- September 1-4 at Salem Ice Center and Cyclones Arena

Yale Jamboree- September 30-October 1st at Northford Ice Pavilion

Beast Columbus Day Showcase October 7-8 at Rodman Arena

1st Annual Beast Championship Series October 28-29 at Rodman Arena

The BEAST Tournament Series features the best teams and its goal is to provide the best exposure and competition for midget hockey on the east coast.
